Shot Blasting Material

We are the authorized wholesale distributors & Suppliers of Shot blasting material in india. Our Steel Shots are solid spherical balls of steel with a chemistry and crystalline structure so designed that it gives the best possible performance as a shot blasting Material.

It has a uniform structure of finely tempered marten site. It gives optimum resilience and resistance to fatigue. These balls are ensured by a unique casting & segregation process for perfect spherical shape. Special Steel Shots with unique properties for special applications are processes on demand if required quantities.

Apart from it, our Steel Grits are angular in shape with uniform grain sizes & special abrasion resistance quality. Shot blasting materials such as Steel Shots, Steel Grit,Garnet Steel Shot, Aluminum Shot, Stainless Steel Cut Wire Shot, Lead Shot, Zinc Shot etc. these materials are available as per IS or SAE Specifications.

Types of Shot Blasting Material

There are various types of Shot blasting material including, Steel Shots, Steel Grit,Garnet Steel Shot,Aluminum Shot, Stainless Steel Cut Wire Shot, Lead Shot,Zinc Shot etc.

Steel Shots– Steel shot is spherical metallic abrasive produced by the molten steel by means of atomizing process. Metalworking Industries are the main users of Steel Shots: ferrous and non-ferrous foundries, steel mills, coating, forge shops and the metal fabricators, sand removal and to improve the metal surface preparation etc. since its process is not an abrasive one hence steel shot produces the least level of dust.

The basic functions performed by the steel shot blasting come under these categories:

Advantages of Steel Shot:

Blast cleaning with steel abrasives is an important operation at various stages of primary metal production. The different varieties and the size of the steel shot give an excellent result on the metal surface. It produces the most economical abrasives by the recycling capacity of more than 30 times due to its robustness and durability.

A larger steel shot aggressively cleans a rougher surface. In order to accelerate steel shot on the surface, both wheel blast and air powdered system is used.

Steel shot produces the least dust because its process is not abrasive. Steel shots are used to overcome condensate strength to torque or loading metal parts such as engine turbine blades, crankshafts and heavy-duty spring.

Steel Grit- Steel grit is produced by crushing steel shots. Therefore it is having the same chemical properties. A specific heat treatment process ensures an optimal microstructure and hardness. There are three types of steel grit are available, with different degrees of hardness. Steel grit is a high-speed abrasive that is suitable for compressed air blasting in recycling systems, such as shot blast rooms, cabinets, etc. Steel Grit has the following advantages and specifications.

Steel Grit Advantages: Specifications:

Garnet Steel Shot- Garnet is a hard, heavy and durable abrasive. Generally, it is used to clean steel in various applications including tanks, shipbuilding and repairs, pipelines, offshore platforms etc. to provide the surface finish for powder coaters. The best part of this abrasive is that, it can be recycled up to 5 times. Garnet steel shot has the following advantages and specifications.

Advantages: Specifications:

Aluminum Shot- We are one of the leading manufacturer & supplier of Aluminum Shots. It is used for removing stress, etching, burr, unknit, strengthen, eliminating surface defect and removing oxidation skin, prevention rust before painting of metal die-casting, precision casting, automobile spare parts, apparatus, hardware tool, machinery manufacturing and pump valve industries etc.

Stainless Steel Cut Wire Shot: We are offering Stainless steel cut wire shot in different grades like 430, 202, 410, & 304 and also as per the customer's demand. Usually, it is used for surface preparation of zinc workpieces, stainless steel workpieces, copper workpieces, aluminum workpieces etc. The advantages of Stainless steel cut wire shot are including non-rust, gloss effect, showing metal original color in surface preparation. Stainless Steel Cut Wire Shot are made of Stainless Steel Wires from different diameters.

Lead Shot: Generally, we use Lead Shots because it provides variable weight in stress testing systems. It may also pour into the basket that would be connected to the items which need to test. Apart from it, the fractures of the particular items the miss closeted. Hence, the Lead shot in the baskets is to calculate the fracture stress of the particular things or items.

Zinc Shot: Zinc shot is generally used for the protection of the metal & it is corrosion resistance too. Meanwhile, it is suitable for deflashing ann deburring of zinc or aluminum die cast parts. Its melting point is 419ºC. Zinc shots are used for removing burr, etching, unknit, strengthen, eliminating the surface defect, removing stress, oxidation skin, precision casting, hardware tool and machinery manufacturing and metal die-casting, automobile spare parts etc.

What is a steel shot made of?

As the name suggests itself, Steel shots are made up of molten steel through the atomization process. They are built quite strong and available in different shapes and sizes. They are round in shape, shiny and powerful compared to other abrasives.

What is steel shot blasting?

Steel shot blasting is using steel shots for the bombardment at a material surface with high velocity through a rotational nozzle or a wheel. It helps to remove dust and dirt from the surface and improves the surface of the metal.

How is the steel grit made?

Steel grit is manufactured by crushing steel shots in tiny granular particles. You’ll notice sharp edges and broken sections resulting from grinding. They are also available in several sizes and hardness from fine particles to finer particles.

Is steel shot better than the lead shot?

Their variance in properties could prove to be successful for you in the application. Steel is less dense than lead and hence lighter in weight. Steel with the same weight receives more amount of pellets. In general Steel, shots are the most preferable abrasive material in blastings.
